In the eternal city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendia family experience love, oblivion and the inevitability of their past and destiny. This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, featuring Colombian groups and indigenous people. communities that make props and sets for the series. A pure joy to watch this cinematic Colombian marvel. The screen adaptation exceeded my expectations and removed all fears of a potentially disastrous attempt to make a decent film from such a cold "unfilmable" novel. To my eyes, it looks absolutely authentic and magical. Bravo to the creators of Columbia and the Columbia team for a very careful, thorough and delicate treatment of one of the most beautiful novels ever written! The cinematography is excellent and shows the beauty of Colombia very vividly. The costumes, colonial architecture, interior design of the buildings and the carefully chosen musical portrait create an unforgettable atmosphere of Colombian magic in every detail..
